Sheena Pronounced Shayna: Sheena A. Vaught is a recent graduate from the Film Studies department at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Sheena is new to the film world, but in her time at the university Sheena has worked on several short projects, including directing her own short experimental film entitled Water, a film that explores the concept of Water creating/giving birth to good and evil. Sheena also wore the producers hat on a short documentary, focusing on the United States Coast Guard who served off the coast of the Atlantic during World War II, entitled Over the Horizon. In November 2010 Sheena was a volunteer at the Cucalorus film festival as a screening coordinator, where she learned more about the festival side of the film industry, and in the summer of 2011 Sheena became Cucalorus' summer intern. Sheena is currently the director and editor for her documentary entitled "Colestine," which is about an aluminum casting artist who is trying to redeem himself in society. In 2012 Sheena has begun production on her third documentary on North Carolina Artist Ivey Hayes; a painter who is at the latter of his career seeking to leave his legacy for generations to come.
